Wenger will not sell Van Persie to City

City manager Roberto Mancini spoke enthusiastically about the captain of the talisman of the recent Gunners as the dress of St. prepare men attack five summer Wenger has secured the services of Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Adebayor, Gael Clichy, Samir Nasri at the Emirates Stadium in three years.

While Arsenal want to sell much in the first place, Nasri, in particular, is said to be angered Wenger, who felt that the report sold some more talented young players are a step down from his club.

This time, however, the French insist that there will be no repeat of its associated 10, who had a prolific season.

 

Like Manchester City, Real Madrid are closely associated with a move to Spanish newspapers, but Wenger has said he would be willing to allow the Dutch in the final year of his contract if he refused to sign a new contract.

The veteran coach wants to avoid suggesting that the Gunners are a club burden "on the right side Etihad Stadium.

"We will not bring anyone to Manchester City, or anyone, because we keep our players," Wenger said at a news conference Friday.

"We will do everything possible to renew his contract.

"Our plan is to keep Robin van Persie, even if we buy any player. Our desire is clean and clear. Robin is the leader of our club and I just want to determine which is the end of his contract.

"He is under contract until 2013. So I'll focus on your work, making it very well, and enjoy your game."

The Arsenal manager admits that he spoke too soon when he said last year: "Imagine the worst situation - we lost [Cesc] Fabregas [Barcelona] and Nasri - unable to convince ambitious people later," but even more optimistic that their chances of keeping Van Persie.

"I was very determined, but at the end of the day, which is a difficult situation to manage," he argues.

"Last year was the first time we've lost young players. It is a worrying sign that makes it difficult to double. First, they have been late, and secondly, when we bought our last and is in a very difficult situation.

"One day I want to write a book about last summer. Club has been treated badly by that and do not think the club is criminal in the transfer phase. How did not the responsibility of the club."
